St Paul’s works in service to the world beyond the parish through its three community service agencies: PeopleCare, St Paul’s Building Blocks Preschool, and Housing Helpers. In addition, a growing St Paul’s Foundation provides financial assistance to those in the greatest need through Anglican agencies both in the United States and in the Third World.
Additionally, the Parish provides support to the following organizations:
Cathedral Shelter of Chicago
This mission serves the less fortunate in our home diocese. Every year, the Parish organizes a drive to gather together Mother’s Day Gift Baskets to give to mothers at the Shelter.
Heifer’s mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth, through sustainable aid to the less fortunate.
La Casa de San Jose Obrero Mission
St Paul’s Parish delivers meals as well as baskets of hats, gloves, scarves, and socks to to La Casa de San Jose Obrero Mission. This mission is a transitional shelter for those who are looking for work. Residents are a given time 24-hour living accommodations and an individualized program of case management, career coaching, life skills training, referral and follow-up services. St Paul’s provides this ministry four times per year (the 5th Sunday of the month whenever those come around).
